She has bounced back from multiple downsizings, and learned firsthand what works in the job search, and how to work through what does not.
Her experience in corporate branding also enables her to help job seekers better position themselves to reach their next career goal.
Karen began her career working for trade groups and professional societies.
In 1992, she founded the Women’s Exchange of Milwaukee, a professional networking group, to help women make quality job and business connections.
She ultimately found her niche in corporate branding for Fortune 500 companies Rockwell, GE and Abbott.
When Abbott sold her division (after she left Corporate), Karen used her marketing skills to help her fellow employees with their job searches through coaching, workshops and support groups.
She kept them accountable and on track and made the search less overwhelming. Employees consistently acknowledged Karen's energy, enthusiasm, and compassion.
As a Dress for Success volunteer, Karen also coaches women in career development programs to assist them in achieving economic independence.
