I've found that my experience in corporate branding has enabled me to help people better position themselves to reach their next career goal.
I began my own career working for trade groups and professional societies. In 1992, I founded the Women’s Exchange of Milwaukee, a professional networking group, to help women make quality job and business connections.
After several jobs in the marketing communications area, I ultimately found my niche in corporate branding for Fortune 500 companies Rockwell, GE and Abbott.
When Abbott sold my division (after I left Corporate), I fell into a role where I was able to use my marketing skills to help my fellow employees with their job searches through coaching, workshops and support groups.
Colleagues told me I helped keep them on track and made their search less overwhelming. They consistently acknowledged my energy, enthusiasm, and compassion.
That experience served as the launch pad for my business.
As a former Dress for Success volunteer, I felt privileged to coach women in career development programs to assist them in achieving economic independence.
