About Karen

Corporate Branding

My career began with trade groups and professional societies. After several marketing communications roles, I found my niche in corporate branding for Fortune 500 companies Rockwell, GE and Abbott.

My last role at Abbott was commercial operations manager for their Animal Health group. When that division got acquired, I fell into a role where I helped fellow employees with their job searches through coaching, workshops and support groups.

Job Coaching
Colleagues told me I kept them on track and made their search less overwhelming. They consistently acknowledged my energy, enthusiasm, and compassion. That experience served as the launch pad for my business.

My journey has included both proactive job searches and downsizings. So I’ve learned firsthand what works and what doesn’t. And I’ve found that my branding experience has helped people better position themselves to reach their next career goal.
Networking and Community Service
Throughout my career, I strived to help people make quality job and business connections and founded two professional networking groups: Women’s Exchange of Milwaukee and MAC Women (Milwaukee Athletic Club).

As a volunteer, I did career coaching for Dress for Success clients to help them achieve economic independence. Other service includes the Diabetes Leadership Council Board of Directors and an HOA board of directors. Prior to that, the American Diabetes Association's Wisconsin Affiliate Board of Directors, national Board of Directors, and national Strategic Marketing Committee (chair).
